News for the week of May 13, 2013

Social Studies 6: Chapter 17 Test on Tuesday.  All work for Chapter 17 will be due at that time.

We will begin work on Chapter 18 after the test tomorrow.


Social Studies 7:  All work from Chapter 26 will be due today.  Past due work must be in as soon as possible.

April 29, 2013

Social Studies 7:  These classes are working on Chapter 24; the topic is the Silk Road.   Vocabulary Quiz will be tomorrow.  The test for this chapter is currently scheduled for Thursday.  Workbooks will also be due on Thursday.

Social Studies 6: These classes are working on Chapter 16; the topic is pollution and how it affects different countries.  Test will be Wednesday with workbooks due the same day.

• Chapter 15 Test on Wednesday
• Chapter 15 Preview, Vocabulary, and Reading Notes due Wednesday.

Social Studies 7:  Complete Chapter 19 Reading Notes and Processing.  Chapter 19 test will be on Wednesday.

Social Studies 6: Complete Chapter 14 Reading Notes.  Chapter 14 Test will be on Thursday.

News for the Week of March 11

Social Studies 7: We are currently studying the Gupta Empire of Ancient India.  All students should have completed pages 123-125 in their workbooks.

Social Studies 6:  This class is studying mountainous regions and the challenges associated with living there.  All students should have completed pages 106 and 107 in their workbooks.

News the end of February

Social Studies 7:  We will be starting Chapter 17 on Monday.  All Reading Notes from Chapter 14 should be completed.

Social Studies 6:  We will be starting Chapter 12 on Monday.  Chapter 11 Preview, Vocabulary, Reading Notes and Processing should all be completed.

News for the Week of February 11

SS 7-These classes are studying ancient India.  They should have all assignements for chapter 14 done with the exception of the processing activity.

SS6- We are beginning the study of extreme weather patterns and their causes.  We will be using hurricanes as our example for this study.
